I suppose it’s possible that a significant number of people have never seen the HBO series ‘The Sopranos’, but I somehow doubt that will make it difficult to follow things here. Director James DiGiorgio brought us one the funniest porn scripts in a long time last year with ‘Shooting Sex.’ Now he has the wonderfully fertile soil of gangster movies to pull from. The movie opens, much like ‘Casino’ with a voice over explanation of how the house always wins. That leads us conveniently into the first sex scene.
Tabitha Stevens works for the house, making sure guys who win big, hang around long enough to drop that cash in other ways. Having made a pile of cash, Steve Hatcher gets the full treatment in front of a roaring fire, drinking in every inch of Tabitha’s smooth skin as she peels off her sexy dress and undies. It’s a far cry better than most of what you’re going to see passed off as feature porn. Sexually, the movie is solid, unless the lack of facials really bothers you. (It does bug me a little, I’ll admit.) Tabitha Stevens does a really good job in the lead, but finds herself upstaged by a trio of blonde side players. Laurel Canyon is just awesome in her scene with Julian, a half notch above the Johnni Black anal scene. Kendra Jade takes on two guys and steals some thunder as well. The Sopornos is a nicely crafted piece of porn here, with a good script and better than average feature sex.
