All right, this is one of those movies that has me on the fence. It’s a porn parody that is great at being a parody and only pretty good at being porn. Not that it’s bad at the smut mind you. My biggest problem stems from the simple fact that for a parody to be truly great porn I think there needs to be some built in sexual heat.
Family Guy: The XXX Parody
At the risk of sounding totally unhip and pissing off plenty of people, I must confess that I’m no a fan of Family Guy. (Though the South Park episode mocking the show is fucking hilarious.) I also don’t know if there is much built in fantasy sex appeal. Other than some interesting voices and a mopey kid, the show is pretty sexless.
Not Jennifer Lopez XXX: An American Idol
In this flick, J-Ho is at the center of an international terrorist emergency. Apparently top members of Al-Qaeda like Jenny and will cease all terrorism if she will simply perform live without lip synching. (Honestly it seems like Will ran out of actresses to play Britney and switched over to J-Lo.) There is a plot involving a goofy Senator (Played nicely by James Bartholet) trying to convince her to do it, but it seems like things are sort of strung together from unfinished parts.

Mork & Mindy: A Dream Zone Parody
Mork & Mindy, the XXX version? Really? I really wouldn’t think of that sit-com as one with great erotic potential. On the other hand, the role of Mork seems to be calling Evan Stone’s name. The over the top, manic hamming it up fits Evan perfectly. The result? A sometimes funny movie with pretty good sex. Stone overacts of course, but he really has to for authenticity’s sake.
Jailhouse Heat 3d (Blu-Ray)
This is the first 3D porn from Digital Playground. As a company that is always on the cutting edge of technology, you can expect something special. It’s an interesting feature about a porn director with one weakness, women. Each and every one o them cheats on him and breaks his heart. It jumps around a bit, but allows us to see a bunch of different girls in different sets.
Graduate XXX, The
Paul Thomas is one of the most accomplished adult film makers of all time. His body of work includes some of the most original XXX features ever. It makes sense that his entrance into the parody craze would be a little different. The Graduate is an iconic feature film with memorable lines and one of the most unforgettable characters ever.
This Ain’t ESPN XXX
If it seems that things are getting a little thin parody wise, that’s probably because they are. To his credit, Otto Bauer did a really cool movie for Hustler featuring parodies of popular commercials. This time around he takes on ESPN. It’s a little thing for sure. I suppose we could go back for a history lesson and show the Keith Olbermann days.
Tosh Porn Oh
Dane Cross takes a trip behind the camera in this rather funny XXX parody. For those of you unfamiliar with the original material, Tosh is a web clip show where a smarmy, probably gay host makes snarky remarks about web clips. Michael Vegas plays the lead perfectly.
