XBIZ Awards Winners to Be Tweeted Real-Time, Follow Our Prez

LOS ANGELES — Members of the adult industry who are unable to attend the highly anticipated 2013 XBIZ Awards, presented by Fleshlight, at the landmark Century Plaza Hotel can stay tuned to the Twitter profile of XBIZ President and founder Alec Helmy (@AlecHelmy) for real-time announcements of the night’s winners.

“Social media has taken over the web, serving as an incredible tool for connecting with your audience and keeping them updated on the latest happenings,” Helmy said. “By tapping into the wide open reach of Twitter, we plan to keep everyone connected with the latest updates from the red carpet, scoops from back stage and of course, announcement of the winners in real-time.”

With XBIZ on the Twitter scene, users of the microblogging site will also have the opportunity to interact and congratulate winners as they walk across the legendary stage of the Century Plaza Hotel ballroom to accept their honors.

The 2013 XBIZ Awards show will honor top achievements across every segment of the industry during the past year. With an expanded list of more than 160 award categories, the 2013 finalist nominees list represents the most expansive array of categories in the history of the XBIZ Awards.

Adult film superstar Tera Patrick will host the awards program, while Jessica Drake and Kirsten Price will welcome guests as the official red carpet hosts. Nikki Benz will host the backstage winner’s circle.

The most vibrant personalities and brightest stars from the world of adult entertainment have made the XBIZ Awards the most prestigious symbol of industry success. The annual event attracts A-list movers and shakers of the multibillion-dollar adult entertainment industry, generating buzz throughout the business and media. This year’s gala will culminate an unprecedented series of six grand-slam industry events, dubbed XBIZ 360°, which gets underway on Jan. 9 in L.A.
