Parodies take center stage in this AVN Awards podcast. Both Best Comedy and Best Drama Parody awards are covered. We ponder the mish-mash of Best Specialty Release Other Genre and finish with Best Star Showcase. (One of my favorite categories.)
The latest comic book icon to get the Axel Braun porn treatment is Wolverine. Tommy Gunn plays the indestructible, sideburn sporting, steel clawed bad ass. He does a pretty good job and looks the part. As has become customary for Braun’s work, the costumes, look and feel of the movie works quite well. There is plenty of comic book fantasy appeal even if you are only a moderate fan of X-Men.

I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea. In fact, I’m not sure that this isn’t a parody. Ron Jeremy and Nina Hartley? In a romantic blind date turned sex picnic scene? We can get back to that in a bit. First, you should know that only the first scene is new.
It’s time for the latest Axel Braun comic book parody. This is his second take at Superman and it explores a great, if rather dark story line. As has become custom with Axel’s movies, this one leaves me wanting more. The story is good enough that I want it to go on and tell more. The sex isn’t at all boring and has plenty of costume appeal.
This is comic book parody that we just saw not that long ago. Rob Black took on Iron Man recently with pretty great results. Now it’s Axel Braun’s turn. The results are good this time around as well. Dale DaBone plays Tony Stark and handles his role pretty well.
The announcement over the weekend that Warner Bros. will feature Batman in its sequel to Man Of Steel drew a “So what?†shrug from fans of superhero adult parodies and from director Axel Braun. When you consider how long Star Trek has been part of our social fabric and how many mutations and reincarnations it has been through, it makes perfect sense that we would be on a third parody of this iconic series. Third by Axel Braun of course. There have been Trek parodies for a whole lot longer than there has been a porn parody genre.
The latest superhero parody from legendary director Axel Braun, ‘Man of Steel XXX,’ will be released online today by Vivid Entertainment, the leading brand of the modern adult era. It is now available at vivid.com and will be in stores nationwide on July 9th.

editor Scott Tipton discusses the evolution of the Mandarin character portrayed recently in the summer blockbuster movie, “Iron Man 3.†But, Tipton believes, Axel Braun’s Mandarin adaptation in the adult movie parody “Iron Man XXX†from Vivid Entertainment comes the closest to the comic book.
Vivid Entertainment and Axel Braun picked up major honors once again at the XRCO Awards ceremony, which was held over the weekend at the famed Supperclub in Hollywood. Undisputed King of Parody Braun added another prestigious trophy to his extensive collection by winning Best Director/Parody for the third year in a row.
