ALLANAH STARR TALKS PORN & POLITICS IN NEW YORK MAGAZINE

Allanah Starr made headlines when New York Magazine hit newsstands yesterday, boasting a full-page photo of the XXX star and an exclusive interview.

(NEW YORK, NY) — When the Republicans flock New York, one business booms like none other according to the latest issue of New York Magazine: Transsexual escorts! But when journalist AMY SOHN sat down for a chat with the porn industry’s leading TS star and escort ALLANAH STARR, she may not have been prepared for someone so poised on the position of politics. “I would offer sexual favors if you don’t vote for Bush, but that might be illegal, so the next best thing I can do is ask people to register to vote NOW!” says STARR, always one for working the shock value.

STARR is no stranger to taking on political debates. She does so frequently on her official web site, ShemaleExotica.com, and as the official TS correspondent for straight to gay porn megasite JasonCurious.com. “I get all this hate mail and I always think, what are you doing on my web site if you feel this way?” STARR tells New York Magazine. “They’re on the site looking at pornography, which is something the Bush administration clearly doesn’t like. But they’re there to jerk off, so they don’t think of me as a real person.” Ultimately though, if she had to guess which party most favored transsexuals, STARR says it wouldn’t be Republicans or Democrats. “The guys that are interested in transsexuals are probably independents,” she says letting out a mischievous laugh. “We’re the third-party candidate.”

The latest issue of New York Magazine, on newsstands now, not only features an exclusive interview with ALLANAH STARR, but even a full-page photo (seen above) accompanying the article. Of course, this isn’t STARR’s first taste of the mainstream spotlight. In the past year alone, she has appeared as a guest on “The Maury Povich Show” and been seen in The Village Voice, L Magazine and The New York Press.
