This latest parody from Zero Tolerance and Gary Orona is an interesting one. When Basic Instinct hit theaters over twenty years ago it was controversial, groundbreaking and the water cooler topic of the year. Rezervior Doggs has been heralded as one of the most genuine porn parodies every made. It is certainly true to the original. Everything from the script to the costuming is dead on. Even the music is about as close to Tarantino-esque as adult can offer. Of course some tweaking had to take place to turn a decidedly male cast into a female one and the bloodbath into a cum fest.
The horror film parodies are always tricky. How exactly do you spoof a bloodbath in an industry that treats on-screen violence like the Hantavirus? In this Axel Braun parody, they do it with tongue firmly implanted in cheek and the result is a lot of great laughs.
