Holly Randall’s Wet Ink Breaks Down Why Live Streaming Is Outperforming Fan Platforms

(Los Angeles, CA / June 18, 2026) – Holly Randall’s Wet Ink Magazine spotlights new creator data in “Why Live Streaming is Outperforming Fan Platforms”, a timely article examining why camming is proving more resilient than fan platform income in a tougher adult market.
Drawing from SWR Data’s latest State of the Creator survey of more than 550 adult creators across the US, UK and Canada, the article reports that dedicated cammers were the most likely to see income growth and the least likely to say adult earnings have become harder. Nearly half of creators focused on cams and live streams said earning was the same or easier than the previous year, compared to 30 percent of fan-site-focused creators. SWR Data was co-founded by MelRose Michaels, founder of Sex Work CEO, and Mike Stabile.
The piece points to one major advantage: internal platform traffic. While many creators rely heavily on social media to drive fans to subscription pages, cam platforms bring audiences directly to performers, giving live streamers more insulation from algorithm changes, account bans, age-verification disruptions and payment instability.
The article also notes that Stripchat was the fastest-growing cam platform in the survey, with its share of streaming creators jumping by more than half in a single year.
“These are the kinds of conversations I want to have because they actually matter to the people working in this industry right now,” Randall said. “Creators are making business decisions in a really unstable environment, and Wet Ink gives us a place to look at what is changing, what is working and what information can actually help people adapt.”
