Vanniall Models As The Fallen Angel In New Portraits by Artist AJ “The TogFather” Hamilton
(Los Angeles, CA / October 26, 2026) – Vanniall transforms into a crimson, otherworldly figure in the new portraits created with London fine art photographer AJ Hamilton, known professionally as TheTogFather, featured now at vanniall.com and as part of Hamilton’s upcoming artist collections in 2027.
Shot in London, the series places Vanniall in full-coverage red body paint, devil horns and sweeping black feathered wings against an apocalyptic setting that evokes the scale and drama of a Renaissance painting. The elaborate styling, including a hand painted setting and all in-camera production, plays directly into Hamilton’s distinctive visual language.
The artist draws heavily from classical art, mythology and Renaissance imagery while using dramatic lighting and richly constructed environments. The production features timeless images, at home among art history yet in a contemporary style unique to his process.
“I knew AJ’s work before we shot, so I was excited to see what would happen when his world and mine collided,” said Vanniall. “We discussed our favorite stories and myths, and I shared an interest in the idea of The Demon that we then explored together. Being painted completely red, putting on those horns and wings and entering into this huge otherworldly scene felt less like posing for photos and more like stepping inside a painting. It’s dramatic, strange and beautiful in exactly the way I hoped it would be.”
Hamilton offered further insight into the process. “I interpreted her as asking for the playful nature of the demon but also I love the idea of reclaiming the things society has taught us to see as monstrous, shameful or undesirable, bad, and turning them into something sacred, powerful and worthy of reverence and awe. The devil is a great archetype for that but also so misunderstood. As for the gold accents, I always associate that colour with divinity, royalty and again sacredness. I feel Vanniall does an incredible job at celebrating herself and her body within spaces that usually encourage people to apologise or conceal themselves or minimise their identity.”
Hamilton is a multidisciplinary artist who works across photography, film, styling and set design in addition to painting. Alongside his work as an educator in London, he has built a body of fine-art portraiture centered on striking compositions, richly controlled color and imagery inspired by the Old Masters. His work at the Hamilton Archive features models and collaborators from across the worlds of mainstream fashion, celebrity, and adult entertainment, seamlessly blended into the mythology of his unique worldview.
