Suzannah Weiss Reconciles Sexuality With Spirituality in La Voix du X Q&A
(Los Angeles, CA / October 15, 2026) – Writer and sexologist Suzannah Weiss, also known as Shoshanna Blanca, introduces Jesus Christ Pornstar to readers of La Voix du X in Pierre Des Esseintes’ new Q&A, “Suzannah Weiss: ‘I read Bible verses while masturbating to amplify spiritual ecstasy!’”.
Weiss traces the project to a Christian spiritual awakening sparked by appearances of Jesus during psychedelic trips, describing a modern Jesus who supports sex, psychedelics and New Age spirituality when they promote well-being. She explains how Uncovering Eve, The Second Cumming, Jesus Lessons and Orgasmic Prayers use performance, body art, music and adult content to challenge sexual shame. “My goal is to teach people how to be a Christian in the bedroom,” she tells Des Esseintes.
Asked how sexuality and spirituality can coexist, Weiss reframes purity around how people treat one another rather than restrictions on desire. “Many social problems could be solved by placing less emphasis on arbitrary rules such as ‘waiting until marriage’ and prioritizing what really matters: consent, respect and safety,” she says. She also calls for greater attention to women’s pleasure, bodily autonomy and sexual experiences that nourish people physically and spiritually.
The Q&A also covers her Reconstructionist Jewish and Quaker upbringing, The Porn Psychic predictions, orgasmic prayer practice and doctoral research on how religious sex workers reconcile their profession with faith. Weiss argues that sex workers can offer a valuable perspective on Jesus’ teachings about inclusion, humility and nonjudgment, declaring, “The world would be a better place if radical Christian whores ruled it!”
