Independent survey of 550+ adult creators finds live streaming outpacing fan platforms, with Stripchat leading the charge
LOS ANGELES, CA — A new study from SWR Data confirms the trend everyone is noticing: live streaming is outperforming fan platforms, and Stripchat is growing faster than any cam site in the industry.
Founded by MelRose Michaels and Mike Stabile, SWR Data’s newest report, “The Case for Camming” was drawn from 550+ adult creators across the US, UK, and Canada. It found that dedicated cam models were the most likely creator category to report income growth and the least likely to say earning in adult had gotten harder. Nearly half reported earning was the same or easier year over year. Among fan-platform-focused creators, that figure dropped to thirty percent.

Nearly eighty percent of cammers ranked platform-native traffic as the single most important factor when choosing where to work: above payout percentage, content restrictions, and design. In an era defined by social media crackdowns, age-verification legislation, and payment processing discrimination, cam models reported substantially less disruption than any other creator category. Social media censorship ranked as their least significant challenge. For every other creator type surveyed, it was number one.
