This is a nice little adult movie with a very serious storyline. Brad Armstrong has a strong cast working with a really good script. When jessica drake loses her partner, she has to go through all the stages of grief. It isn’t always pretty and there are some very serious scenes. I’m not sure how that plays with the entire “couples-porn†audience, but the mainstream vibe works very well. It works best because jessica gives a performance that once again proves she is the very best actress in adult entertainment. She covers the wide range of emotions required in this movie and also carries the bulk of the sexual interactions as well. Her scenes with Ryan Driller and Small Hands bookend the story nicely with some hot eye candy and intensity. In between we get some solo play that feeds into the story nicely and a really good Kira Noir scene that should not be missed. The big secret in the plot is a little overplayed at times, but I ended up loving how they handled the reveal and ended the movie. Overall it was an enjoyable, if sometimes heavy piece of adult entertainment that is well written, nicely acted and hot enough to score points where it matters most.
Everyone deals with grief in their own way. For jessica drake that means escaping the morbid platitudes of the post funeral get together.
