Hustler Hollywood is home to some of the hottest adult merchandise in all of Los Angeles. Customers frequent the XXX-rated mega-store looking for the best tapes, DVDs, toys and erotic clothing on Sunset Blvd. In addition to the usual selection of smut, anyone stopping by the store on Thursday night was treated to some extra eye candy thanks to a huge in-store signing by Seymore Butts and company. With six lovely ladies accompanying him for the event, Seymore attracted a host of fans who began lining up long before the eight PM start time. Everyone in line was given a raffle ticket and prizes were awarded throughout the night, including T-shirts, DVDs and sexual aids. Women were also invited to enter a drawing to win a date with Seymore. Though the event was for fans, press was allowed thirty minutes with Seymore and the girls before the gates were officially opened. I took that time to snap a few pictures, say hi to some old friends and set up some interviews with a few of the beautiful women on hand. One happy fan even brought roses for his favorite ladies, (Bella and Flower) while others held huge stacks of movies, pictures and magazines to be signed.
Seymore and crew were on hand to promote his reality-based TV show “Family Business” which airs weekly on Showtime. The half hour show can bee seen at 11:30 PM every Friday night on the cable network. During the first season, fans have been given an inside look into Seymore’s business and personal life. Early episodes focused on his relationship with you young son, his attempts at internet dating and the strange working relationship he has with his mother. Between trying to raise a child, run a successful porn company, work with his mother and his cousin and looking for love, Seymore is always busy and the show has been a hit with die hard porn fans as well as newcomers to adult entertainment.
The success of “Family Business” has brought Seymore back to the top of the porn world, something that seemed nearly impossible just two years ago. A high-profile obscenity trail over his “Tampa Tushy Fest” movie threatened to ruin his ten year run as one of the industry’s most popular directors. Though he eventually won his court battle, Seymore nearly dropped off the map for a long time. In a place as fickle as Porn Valley, many nay-sayers were ready to write him off for good. It was the second time in his career that a run in with the law nearly cost him his X-rated empire. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, Seymore is back to his old tricks with new releases like “Strictly Busin-ASS” (For a review of this title, visit Strictly Busin-ASS Review ) and “It’s raining Tushy Girls” (It’s Raining Tushy Girls Review ) “Family Business” may have brought Seymore into the homes of thousands of new fans, but those who have been with him from the beginning still love his superior gonzo movies, hard-core anal sex and penchant for making girls squirt.
In addition to Butts, other regulars from “Family Business” and Seymore’s movies were on hand to greet fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures. Long time Seymore girl McKayla Matthews was joined by current “Tushy Girls” Mari Possa and Avy Scott. Flower, who as been featured in a number of Seymore’s recent videos, and new babe Reina Leone also packed in the fans. Multi award winning starlet Belladonna rounded out the top-flight batch of babes and no one seemed disappointed. Avy drew the most attention for her outfit, showing off her huge natural breasts and wowing fans with a skirt so short it would be illegal in most states. Bella was her usual outgoing self, cuddling up to fans for Polaroids and showing off her new GI Jane haircut. Though fairly new to this sort of thing, Mari Possa was thrilled to meet her fans. “I love this part as much as I love the sex” said the pint sized budding superstar. Veteran McKayla, was happy to be back in front of her fans and her bubbly personality seemed to be rubbing off on newbies Flower and Reina. All of the women treated their fans well and every guy (and a few girls) left smiling.
While the line of fans stretched throughout the store, many porn folks could be seen milling out the Hustler coffee shop. Representatives from Adultcon were there, promoting their show this weekend. Stars and directors were also on hand. Mark Davis and his wife dropped by, bringing sexy little Charmane with them. (Some guys have all the luck.) Director Dale Jordan was also on hand. And just who was that woman in the black floppy hat and sexy but classy dress. I do believe it was Venus, but it was hard to tell because she was engaged in a lip lock with Belladonna. Digital Playground’s Adella O’Neal showed up, looking good as always. Jules Jordan showed up and talked for a long time with his old friend McKayla. He and I also spoke at length about the hot topics in the industry and hoped it would be a better evening for both of us than the last time we talked. (At XRCO when his car was stolen and I had an angry director threaten to have my whole family killed.) Scott Fayner of LukeFord.com showed up with his tape recorder in hand, stopping all off the record conversation.
Of course the real fun came after the signing at an invitation-only after party across the street. The event, organized by PR whiz April Storm, was at On the Rox, just above the famous Roxy on Sunset. It’s not a big club and it filled up quickly as guests funneled in and drank vigorously while waiting for the guests of honor to arrive. Thanks to some great music by the DJ and scantily clad porn girls getting drunk and dancing, the atmosphere became quite festive in a hurry. It was getting late and I had to file this report, so I bid everyone a final farewell and left the serious partying to Fayner and company while I rushed home to dutifully share this with all of you.
From start to finish, this well-organized event kept fans quite happy. Oh, and that raffle for a date with Seymore? One lucky lady walked away very happy, but one has to wonder why she ran straight to the lube aisle when her number was announced. With the buzz from the music still ringing in my ears, I headed home just like the hundreds of satisfied fans. If the size and enthusiasm of the crowd was any indication, it’s clear the Seymore Butts is back and more popular than ever.
