Premier webcam portal takes stand against victim blaming & gender inequality

Amber Rose’s Slut Walk LA will kick off in downtown Los Angeles at noon on Saturday October 3, 2015 and webcam portal Chaturbate, [https://Chaturbate.com] is lending its support to the event’s plans to “Break the Net” with posts on social media, .
In 2012, United Nations Secretary, General Ban Ki-moon stated, “Violence against women and girls continues unabated in every continent, country and culture. It takes a devastating toll on women’s lives, on their families and on society as a whole. Most societies prohibit such violence–yet the reality is that too often, it is covered up or tacitly condoned.”
Tacitly condoned may have been an understatement, as Slut Walks launched across Canada and the US in 2011, after a Canadian police officer publicly commented that “women should avoid dressing like sluts” in order to avoid sexual assault.
Those who aren’t able to attend the live event are encouraged to “Break-the-Net” by posting a “Slut Selfie” on their personal social media accounts at 3 PM PST (6 PM EST) on October 3. The selfie campaign is designed to show public support by visually declaring “no more” to victim blaming, derogatory labeling and slut shaming. Using the tags #AmberRoseSlutWalk #MuvasMovement #BreakTheNet will help spread global awareness of this important topic.
