End of the Month, Interviews & Inexcusable Hate Shit
Welcome Good day everyone. The month is winding down again and I’m working hard on my interviews. I just finished transcribing the Hillary Scott interview. I trust you will find that one interesting because she certainly is. I’ve also got Jesse Jane and Miko Sinz in the rotation and should have them ready to go by the weekend. I’ll try to space them out a little bit, but look for at least three in the next few days. The audio versions will go up at the same time so you can read them or listen. I’m curious about that. Those of you who listen to the audio interviews, are you listening on your computer or are you downloading them to your Ipods and listening to them at the gym? I’ve just started downloading some shows and podcasts to my Ipod, but I usually listen to them in the car. When I’m at the gym I still need some good music to get me going.

Cut Comps a Rip Off? I’m right in the middle of reviewing a movie called “Blow Pop 3” from 1st Strike. It’s a BJ flick and I’ve been in the mood for a good oral movie for a while. (I’m also reviewing “Head Case” from 3rd Degree this week.) BP 3 is a comp with a twist. They are scenes we have seen before with the sex cut out. It’s just the blowjob footage and the facial pops. This is hardly the first time we’ve seen this. Lexington Steele did that with a few of the early Iron Head movies. (They have since stopped and shoot all original BJ scenes for that line.) There was even a series like this going way back to the 80’s. I know it was put out by Western Visuals (They made some great movies) and I think it was called Oral Majority or something like that. The first few volumes were just the BJ only scenes from their movies. That ran out midway through the second video I think. Then they started cutting out the fucking from their regular scenes just like “Blow Pop 3.” So my question to you is this. What do you think about this? Is it a rip off? Is it any more of a rip off than another comp? I don’t remember some of the toy play that we get in BP3 being in the original scenes, so that might be a boost. What about for the blowjob fans? Is this actually a better movie than watching it with all the fucking? Is it actually a bonus? Consider that your topic for the day and throw me your thoughts.

But it’s not a hate site, it’s not…it’s not: If anyone still wonders why I consider sites like Huffington Post and Buzzflash to be hate sites, check out the responses to the Cheney/suicide bomber story. Look, I don’t particularly like the Veep, never have and probably will, but you’ve got a bunch of terrorists trying to kill our elected officials and the assclowns over at HP hope that next time they get him? I do see the potential for humor in such an event. (The idea that Dick’s hunting buddy might be hiding behind a sand dune with a remote controlled bomb comes to mind.) I have a sense of humor like anyone else, but an attempt on the life of an American President or Vice President no matter how you feel about his/her policies or personality, goes beyond politics. Or at least it should for anyone who isn’t a hate-drive poli-cheer. (Rog, that’s the problem, look at that site you’re reading.) Most of this sentiment seems to be coming from posters, but any site that attracts that kind of person and then endorses the sentiment by leaving the comments up is what it is; a poli-cheer hate site. I haven’t liked Al Gore from his days of trying to censor and ban Twisted Sister records (Why does everyone forget that?), but if someone ever tried to kill him, then or now, I’d be fucking pissed off. I would take that as an attack on my country and nothing as petty as politics would get in the way of that. I certainly wouldn’t be puking up the kind of hateful bile that is coming out of these ‘news’ sites. The only people who were doing that sort of shit during the Clinton/Gore years were the Timothy McVeighs of the world. I guess Huffington and those who support that site (through links perhaps?) should be counted in with the likes of Timmy Boy. Sad. I just don’t link to sites like that because that kind of shit isn’t in my heart I guess. I would rather link to sites where the cheerleaders are actually hot girls instead of bitter hacks who can’t seem to form a thought and replace actual policy discussion with petty name calling, death wishes and well funded hated rants. News site my Aunt Fanny. I know that my good friend loves them and considers them ‘news’ sites, but sorry, it’s about as credible as the wild sex stories coming from Britney’s ex, as legitimate as Anna Nicole’s baby and hate-filled as your average klan rally.

Hype Machine: Anyone who has followed porn for the last…oh forty years knows that the hype a movie gets often drives people to see it. It works that way across the board I guess. Making a movie controversial, edgy or just downright freaky is a really good way to get people talking. (And hopefully buying) We’ve seen a lot of this stuff with the whole alt-porn movement. PR people have worked overtime to convince us that this new wave of directors was ready to take the porn world by storm. Eon McKai’s alt-classic Neu Wave Hookers was talked about for months before it came out. They spent a ton of cash on release parties to build the hype. Last year when Eli Cross’ Corruption came out, there were press releases detailing the reactions that some critics had to the movie. It was apparently too blasphemous and disturbing for even grizzled veterans to get through. Who didn’t want to see it after reading that? Before that Extreme made movies that were designed to shock as much as to arouse. Tom Zupko, Lizzy Borden and Rob Black all blended theatrics, shock and sex to create interesting (and sometimes brilliant) adult projects. It probably shouldn’t come as a surprise that it is Extreme at the forefront of the most recent heavily-hyped porn flick. Their Club Satan has already been the subject of at least three press releases and one long thread over on AdultDVDTalk.com. First there was the black mass finale, then the release about how the case and crew walked off of the set during the finale and now this gem. The girl who took part in the big mass, Paris Gables now says she may need an exorcism. (See the complete story for more details.) Hey, I smell the bullshit too, but you have to admit, they are trying really REALLY hard to make us want to see this movie. I’m just kind of curious about how big the market for Satan porn really is. We’ll have to see.
