Rog Blog: Monday How I Spent my Sunday & More Fun Porn

How I Spent My Sunday I warned you guys that if I didn’t get some good reader email you were going to be stuck with entries like this. Actually I don’t mind sharing my Sunday because it was a pretty good day. Not much of a porn day other than the two great scenes I reviewed late last night. (More on them in a bit) I started the day off at six AM which is NOT my usual wake up time for a Sunday. My mother, father and sister were taking part in the Race for the Cure in Pasadena to raise money for breast cancer research. As some of you know from reading this blog and my site over the years, my mother is a BC survivor twice over now. Late last year she had her second bout with it and came out OK. I didn’t walk this year because I wasn’t sure about scheduling. (And because my sister who organized the family participation didn’t tell me until it was too late.) But I was there cheer them on and spent the day with my little nephew. I also made personal and business contributions to all three family members to help them meet their fund-raising goals. It was a really great event and luckily the weather was beautiful. 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky until after the run/walk was over. They said that over 11 thousand people either ran or walked in the event and I have to say, I’m really impressed. Obviously there are plenty of great charities out there, but if you’re so inclined please consider breast cancer research as a worthy cause. Hopefully by the time my boys are old enough to marry, this is the kind of thing that won’t strike fear into their hearts. After the walk and wandering the grounds for a while we headed over to Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ & Grill in Pasadena. I’m a freak for BBQ ribs and I have to tell you that this is a place not to miss. If you love BBQ, you MUST check this place out. The atmosphere is very casual, family roadhouse style with bowls of peanuts to snack on. The meals come with standard coleslaw or a special bleu cheese and almond style. I’m not a big bleu cheese guy, but if you like that flavor, give it a try. It was good. They also serve a blueberry cornbread that is pretty great. I went with the full rack of baby backs because that is what I always order a new BBQ place. I also had the beer batter onion rings to go with the ribs. (Yes, I’m feeling a little better and the appetite is back.) I have to say that the ribs (which come cooked in one of four sauces by the way and you can mix and match) were perhaps the best I have ever tasted. They were tender, not especially greasy and even with very little sauce, tasted fantastic. The hickory flavor in the meat made it good enough even if you don’t like any sauce. I can hear my old friend Torris telling me right now that no one gives a crap what I ate for lunch, but I have to compliment Robin’s on a great BBQ. And I have to talk about the dessert. Try the apple pie sizzle. It’s a really tasty slab of apple pie with ice cream and a pile of whipped cream topped with cinnamon. It comes to the table sizzling and blowing steam everywhere. If you love great presentation, this is a winner. When the sizzle dies down the pie is hot, the ice cream is cold and the whole thing tastes amazing. That’s it. Restaurant review over. If you’re ever in Pasadena and love BBQ, check it out. You’ll thank me later.

Eye Candy: Last week I featured Amber at Home and a lot of you liked her. I like her a lot. Has anyone joined her site yet? I’m hoping to review it. You have to love those horny housewife sites right? Let me know what you think and maybe we can rank our favorite hot wife sites.

The Rest of My Day: Oscars: So after my day at the run and that great lunch I came home to work. As much as I love movies, I really don’t like the Oscars. It just kind of bores me every year. Mrs. Rog loves it though and I don’t like to spend four hours locked up into the office when I don’t have to. So I put the laptop to good use and half watch as I review porn. Last night’s show was just dreadful. I rather like Ellen, but she was just bland from start to finish. The whole show seemed lifeless and without any sense of direction. That whole “celebration of the nominees” thing was a mess. Come on, everyone there wants to win. It’s all about the winners and so it should be. Not too many surprises really. Marty finally won, Departed was great yeah, yeah. Alan Arkin was kind of a surprise. I loved “Sunshine” but didn’t think he was all that great. He was just Alan Arkin being Alan Arkin. At least they didn’t give it to Eddie Murphy. He was boring and flat in “DreamGirls” just like that whole movie. Every time he came on screen I found myself thinking that he did his James Brown much better twenty five year ago on SNL. Jennifer Hudson won and that’s just a big who cares. I thought she was flat and rather horrible in Girls. I’m glad she won though because now we probably won’t have to hear from her again. I thought it was kind of funny that none of the three Dreamgirls songs won. That’s what happens when you have three horses in the same race. The biggest non-shock of the night was that Gore ‘documentary’ winning. I haven’t seen it, but I hear it’s interesting. I just laughed that they brought him up there with them. That was just so sweet. I just couldn’t help but wonder why all those other documentary winners haven’t brought the subjects up to enjoy the moment. Is it me, or was it a huge mistake to have Seinfeld do a bit? He was really funny and served as a reminder that he’s just better at this than Ellen. His rare bright spot made the rest of the night seem even drearier. I laughed a bit when I saw people waving Mexican flags in the crowd. It seems that those flags pop up at every gathering in SoCal. The Oscars are no exception. I did notice one thing that made me curious. There were more mentions of “God” last night than I remember in the past. A few winners went way out of the way to thank God and talk a bit about spirituality. I started wondering if perhaps there are those in Hollywood who are fine with the political leaning of their peers, but maybe aren’t ready to go along with the decided anti-spirituality sentiment that goes along with it. Just kind of interesting and that was so rare last night that it stood out.

Eye Candy: Mardi Gras is over and spring break is right around the corner. Time to check in with my favorite co-ed site www.NebraskaCoEds.com. This set features a couple of hot college girls doing each other. Gotta love higher education.

Reviews: My day wasn’t all fun and games. I carved out some time to review Van Styles’ Gaped Crusaders and it was a lot more entertaining than the Oscars. It probably could have been trimmed down a bit like most movies these days, but there were two really fantastic scenes right in the middle. Mika Tan is always great, but she really stand out in this movie. Van got something great out of her and if possible, I’m even more in lust with this awesome woman than I was before. Following that scene was tough, but Jada Fire really showed us something great. I hope that Hustler knows what they have in Van. He’s a very talented guy who is back in a good groove again. If someone else snags him, they will have a hard time filling that hole. Take a look at Gaped Crusaders, it’s a pretty damn hot anal flick.

Eye Candy: More from NebraskaCoeds. This time a couple of cheerleaders do naughty things with their pom-poms.

Niche Porn: Looks like Tee Reel is working on a new line. (Full story tomorrow) It’s yet another example of how specific porn is getting. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it makes for some funny stuff. “Let Me Taste My Black Ass” takes the A2M craze and mixes it with the run on ethnic-specific movies. I’m just waiting for them to take it one step further and give us “I Want to Taste My Black Wet Ass.”

Eye Candy: When it comes to beautiful women, it’s tough to beat Jenaveve Jolie. Wow what a woman.
