Pirates 2 Teaser, The Police & Interviews Coming
Pirates 2 Teaser: Let the Pirates II talk begin. Digital Playground and director Joone announced the release of the Pirates II teaser. After meeting with rave reviews during its debut at the 2007 AEE show, the teaser is now available to the general public for the first time. Less than two years ago, the original “Pirates” broke new ground for adult epics, combining special effects, a great soundtrack and of course, amazingly hot women. The project has gone on to break every known sales and rental record the adult industry has ever known. The Best Selling and Best Renting tape for 2006 was begging for a sequel from day one and this year, we’re going to get it. The Pirates II Teaser is our first look at the movie that is sure to take the porn world by storm later this year. AVN’s own Paul Fishbein viewed the trailer in Vegas and was quite impressed. “Just from the trailer alone, you can sense it’s going to be a blockbuster. Grammys: Normally I wouldn’t be caught dead watching the Grammys. Seriously, what’s the point? It’s about the most irrelevant award show on TV and the music is almost always watered-down crap that you couldn’t pay me to listen to. This year will be different though. No, I’m not tuning in to hear the Dixie Chicks make yet another speech complaining about how they have been targeted and victimized. I’ll be watching because the Police are going to open the show. After twenty years, the band that I followed through my teens is back together. Rumor has it, this will be a warm up gig for a reunion tour. That will be a concert I won’t miss. It’s finally a chance to correct one of the big disappointments of my life. (Old dude reflection alert.) You see, way back in the day, the Police came to San Diego to play a show with Madness and Oingo Boingo. Lots of people I knew went to the show, but somehow I missed it. Somehow? Hell, I couldn’t go thanks to mom. I love her too much to really stay pissed, but at time I was more than a little ticked. It was three of my favor favorite bands on the same ticket. (Throw in the Clash and The English Beat and it would have been all five.) So I missed it back then and if the Police really do tour again, I’m going. Anyone want to go with me? And yes folks, I realize that nearly every girl in porn these days wasn’t even born when the Police last played to together, let alone when they were actually making GREAT music. So I’ll be tuning in for the first number and then tuning out for the rest of the night. (At least they put them at the start so I don’t have to watch the rest.)

Interviews Coming: It’s about time to roll out the first few AEE interviews. Over the next few days I should have Nicole Sheridan, Hillary Scott, Lacie Heart and Sunny Lane up on the site. If all goes well the text and audio versions of the interviews should go up at the same time. I know that the background noise on these is a little high. The floor is always noisy and this year it just seemed to be worst. (Probably because I was aware that these were going to go live.) I’m going to look into some small microphones to carry with me to cut down on that noise. Any other feedback is always appreciated.
