Your Choice Scores Big at Venus Berlin
Between the dates of Oct. 18 and Oct. 23, 2006, the gang from Your Choice learned quite a bit from their first experience as show floor exhibitors at Venus Berlin. Perhaps most important of those lessons is that there simply isn’t enough time in the day to finish up all of the business they’d like to. For Your Choice, there was truly no rest for the wicked.
But such things can only be expected for a company that offers such a diverse range of services to both consumers of adult products and industry professionals. While best known for nearly 20 years as the UK’s leader in mail order and internet retail, Your Choice, now based in Amsterdam, also boasts a distribution wing which currently places product from such companies as VCX, the American home for classic adult movies, in the hands of retailers throughout Europe. If that weren’t enough, Your Choice also produces its own adult films including early 2006’s hit Amsterdam Central:
Extreme Sex in the City and the critically acclaimed Viewers’ Wives series. Furthermore, the company aims to stay at the spearhead of content delivery technology by recently unveiling its Nightstreams product that offers streaming media solutions. Needless to say, there was always something going on at the Your Choice stand. Proving most advantageous was the company’s ability to expose its products and services to a wide range of smaller companies in attendance who might have otherwise been missed.
Your Choice Spokesperson, Jacco Kwakkel, said, “There are literally hundreds of professionals that are on the show floor that are worth talking to. Without a centralized stand we might have missed them in the past but by having a stand, we were able to more easily touch base with these small but important companies and individuals.”
But as I’m sure you know, this business isn’t all conference tables and mineral water. At a show like Venus Berlin, any good company with an eye towards consumers will take more than a few minutes to entertain fans with a bevy of sexy ladies and that is exactly what Your Choice did. Some of the UK’s most famous sex stars, particularly Kiera Pharrell and Kelly Stafford, stole the show at both the Your Choice stand and Venus Berlin’s world famous main stage where anything goes.
At the end of the day, however, Your Choice gives credit for their success at this event to their amazing staff, attending business associates, and friends that helped bring the entire package together. On this topic, Your Choice Operations Manager, Jay Pannell, said, “Events like Venus Berlin are always hectic and things don’t always go as planned. But with help and support from so many people like David Sutton from VCX, Phil Black and RedZone Pictures, Steven Morowitz from Video-X-Pix and of course our attending staff, this endeavor went better than we could have hoped.”
In the aftermath of Berlin, Your Choice is also preparing for Erotica UK in London, the UK’s highest profile adult oriented trade show and exposition. During their time in London, Your Choice will be in attendance as a nominee in the first annual UK Adult Film Awards, which will take place at the Hammersmith Palais on November 17, 2006.
