It amazes me how quickly shit can start on the internet, how it can get out of hand and we all tend to lose our sense of humor. Hopefully this will make some of you laugh…at my expense.
Who is Roger Pipe?
For Background: When Mike Albo wondered aloud on another site who I was, it set off a thread on www.AdultDVDTalk.com started by my good friend Den (From CAVR.com. The full thread is here, but it has degenerated a bit. It began with Den putting forth my credentials. Here is what he wrote:

I was reading Luke Ford’s site and this title intrigued me.
Can you image the AVN Senior Editor Mike Albo asking this question?

* Rog has the number 1 rated independent review site.
* Rog has the well respected Rog Awards.

* Rog is a member of XRCO (Mike Albo is not).
* Rog even had a monthly column on AVN Insider!
* Rog’s monthly editorial is on Cindi Loftus.
* Rog’s monthly editorial is in BNI.
Rog is the KING. Maybe you print media magazine Senior Editor’s need to wake up?

While I am flattered by Den’s post, I’m also a little embarrassed by it. There is no reason I would expect Albo to know who I am and certainly didn’t want the post to become a back and forth. So I’ve decided to add a little humor. Hopefully it works.

(PLEASE NOTE: If for some reason you don’t get the obvious self-deprecating tone to this post, then read it again.)
First of all I want to thank Den and the rest of you who have added so much love to this thread. Since we’re doing a mini-bio on “Rog” as a way to introduce me to Mike Albo and anyone else who hasn’t a clue who I am, I figured I would add a few things. In general, Den has done an excellent job, but here are few things he left out.

*Rog was voted 2nd Best Dancer in his high school class.
*Rog was awarded the “Best Actor” award for a 4th grade production of “The Reluctant Dragon.”
*Rog was once called “Much younger and thinner than I expected” by Asia Carrera.
*Rog was voted 3rd Best Dressed in his high school class.
*Rog attended classes in Community College with Fox Sports’ Jeannie Zelasko. (JZ was even did camera work on one of his projects.)
*Rog once scored 8 points in a high school basketball game.
*Rog once had sex inside Knott’s Berry Farm after hours.
*Rog was voted 2nd Most Likely to Return as a Teacher in his high school class. (Never could finish first in any of those polls.)
*During a radio appearance Rog once misspelled his own URL, repeating four times that his reviews could be found at “RoJReviews.com.”
*Rog was once told by a prominent print journalist “You don’t have a chance. You’ll be gone in less than a year.” (That was in 1998.)
*Rog was voted “Most Changed” at his 10 year high school reunion. (Finally won one.)
*Rog received great reviews for his “moving” performance as Homer Zuckerman in a local production of “Charlotte’s Web.”
*Rog has attended a World Series, NBA Playoff Game and an NCAA Championship Game.
*Rog is credited in some adult circles as introducing them to Asian Nachos.
*Rog has written a half dozen adult movie scripts and even “directed” one movie.
*Rog once actually met Puck from the Real World. (He later gave Hillary Scott the Rog Rules T Shirt given to him at that meeting.
*Rog was the kid on “Courtship of Eddie’s Father” No wait, that Monstar, or Marilyn Manson, I get them confused.

OK, I think that covers the important bio points….hopefully that will give those who don’t know me a better glimpse into who I am and finally answer that most burning of all questions “Who is Roger Pipe?”
