Puba’s Ivan Receives XRCO Nomination for Best Web Director
Puba is pleased to announce XRCO Award Nominations for some of their biggest stars as well as their multi-talented director, Ivan.
Puba is well represented in the individual performer categories. A pair of Puba Girls, Asa Akira and Skin Diamond, have been nominated for Female Performer of the Year. XBiz Award winner Christy Mack received a nod for New Starlet. Dana DeArmand was named as one of porn’s naughtiest women with a nomination for Superslut. Asa and Skin were also recognized for their intense sex scenes. Each landed on the Orgasmic Analist and Superslut nominee list. Skin added Orgasmic Oralist for a total of four nominations. In all, the Puba Girls notched nine of Puba’s 10 XRCO Award nominations.
“We have an amazing roster of performers,” says Puba co-owner Ben. “Asa, Skin, Christy and Dana are all quite deserving of the recognition from XRCO. With the new talent we keep adding, I am sure that the nominations and wins will keep coming for our girls.”
Puba’s in-house director Ivan has received a nomination in the Best Web Director category. This is the first year that the XRCO has recognized directors for their work for web-based networks. Ivan’s excellence caught the attention of the critics on the nominations panel and landed him on the inaugural web-based directors list.
“Any time an organization of critics singles you out for an award like this it’s an honor,” says Ivan. “These are men and women who watch a lot of porn and see the best and worst the industry has to offer. To receive a nomination for my work on web sites is very gratifying. To be one of the nominees in the first year that XRCO has recognized this category is incredibly flattering.”
His work has been recognized by the XRCO, but Ivan’s contributions are already well known to the women of Puba.

Ivan is Puba’s exclusive in-house director as well as co-owner of the network. He is the only shooter in the adult industry to have that distinct honor. His technical skills and unique style make him the perfect director to capture Puba’s content. Their network boasts some of the biggest stars in XXX and the material is a fine balance between glorious eye candy and filthy hot action. Ivan’s eye for both has caught the attention of fans for years and his inclusion in the XRCO’s new category is fitting.
“Ivan is absolutely one of my favorite people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” says XRCO Nominated performer Asa Akira. ” His creative energy and passion for shooting are both extremely contagious. Not only am I lucky to have my website in the hands of such a talented director, I am proud to call him my friend.”
Always web savvy and one to give back to fans, Ivan has had a successful YouTube channel, “Slivan” (A combination of his real name and his XXX Nome de plume), for years. It currently has nearly 17,000 followers and over 17.5 million views. The channel has become so successful that Ivan is launching a new project, “As Seen on Slivan” where fans and their videos are incorporated into periodic episodes. They have already had a number of submissions including some from members of military checking in from battlefields around the globe.
To handle this new project, Ivan has added new members to his crew, including an additional cameraman, Chris Evans. Already an industry vet, Evans has worked with Ivan previously on a number of segments of “Porn Valley 91311.” He is now part of an expanding team that includes a second editor as well as additional crew members handling music and graphics.
“It has been a lot of fun working on the YouTube channel,” adds Ivan. “It gives us a chance to be creative, fan-friendly and to work on new projects. We are incorporating what we do on the YouTube channel with network and the Puba Girls. Or newest project is called Newly Screwed Game. We get to showcase fantastic talent in a fun, sexy segment that will cross over nicely to a mainstream audience.”
Building on the momentum of Ivan’s success, Puba’s sister company Pornstar Empire is working on a special DVD release showcasing Ivan’s work.
