Nominees announced for 2013 ED’s Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show

The multi-billion-dollar adult nightclub industry’s only national awards show, hosted by comedian Adam Hunter, set for August 21, 2013 at the House of Blues in Las Vegas

It’s been dubbed as the “Oscars” of the adult nightclub industry, the crowning event of the Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners EXPO and an evening worthy of celebration. The Annual Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show—known more frequently as the ED’s Awards—will return for its 16th straight year at the 2013 EXPO at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. This year, the House of Blues, located directly inside Mandalay Bay and boasting a national reputation as one of the nation’s best live music venues, will play host to the show.

The Annual ED’s Awards Show, presented by Anheuser-Busch and slated for August 21 from 8-11 pm, will honor the best-of-the-best in adult nightclubs, club staff and feature entertainment. The show will be hosted by hot up-and-coming comedian Adam Hunter, will feature special guest presenters, a brand new all-female “house” rock band Brazen and command performances by the four nominees for ED’s Overall Entertainer of the Year Award, which include Christina Aguchi, Dakota Skye, Krystle Cummings and Lacey Rain.

“To have such a great venue as the House of Blues play host to this prestigious celebration of our industry is something we’ve very excited about,” says ED Publications’ Associate Publisher Dave Manack. “And with our ‘Rock the House’ theme, we’re expecting all of our Awards Show guest to get in the spirit of the evening by unleashing their inner rock god or goddess!”

In keeping with this theme, several “rock star” special presenters are slated to appear, including Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Vinnie Paul of Pantera and Hellyeah and Phil Varone, reality TV star and drummer of Saigon Kick. Las Vegas’ own Brazen, an award-winning, all-female rock cover band, will also entertain the Awards Show crowd throughout the evening.

The voting for the 2013 ED’s Awards will be held online only at TheEDawards.com from Thursday, June 20th, through Friday, July 12th.

To make sure that the show remains a slim, trim two-hour presentation (actual show: 9-11 pm), a select few awards have been moved to other events being held during the EXPO (the same way the Oscars hold a prestigious awards event prior to the main Oscar presentation). During the EXPO’s Opening Night “Game Show” Party at the Vegas Hustler Club, the following “staff” awards will be presented: General Manager of the Year, DJ of the Year (a new ED award for 2013) and Club Employee of the Year. And at the Closing Night “Specialty Acts Showcase” Party at Sapphire in Vegas, the following “feature” awards will be presented: “Feature” Club of the Year, Adult Movie Feature Entertainer of the Year and the Miss ExoticDancer.com award.

A New York City native, Adam Hunter is one of the hottest young comedians today. Adam was a finalist on Season 6 of “Last Comic Standing,” has appeared on Jay Leno’s “Tonight Show,” “Chelsea Lately,” ”The Late Late Show,” MTV, VH1, TruTV, CBS and Comedy Central. He is currently the host of the TV show “Man Up Stand Up” on MavTV and has appeared on Showtime’s “Comic’s Unleashed” and “Loco Comedy Jam,” and in sketches on “Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel.”
