Rog Blog: July 13th
It’s time to dip into the mail bag again. This week I’m leaving all of the political stuff, real world matters and even the porn questions in the bag and sticking to one topic. My recent Rog’s Top 20 Porn Girls for 2006 prompted a number of responses from you. That’s kind of the point of lists like this and though no one is going to back me 100%, the results have been pretty good. To be fair, the “nice list” emails don’t promote nearly as much discussion, so the following collection is slanted a bit towards the “are you nuts” line of thinking.
First, a few from the Message Board.

Everyone who follows the site knows that Lucy is one of my favorite women in all of porn. She has been a top 5 for a few years, but fell out of the top 20 this year. She’s still on the honorable mention list and would have been much higher if I had seen her in more movies. I do weigh amount of work into the equation so that probably cost Lucy just a bit.
Bud Writes: It’s pretty clear to me that you don’t watch much Euro porn. It looks like your list is 95% American ladies….One man’s trash can be the next man’s treasure.

I watch enough Euro-porn to know that more than a few of these women have what I call the Euro-Glaze to them. They are beautiful and do all of the things we want them to, but do so with a disinterested look on their face and a disaffected manner that is kind of cold. Over the years, hot Euro-babes have been on the list. Monica Sweetheart and Rita Faltoyano are great. As for trash and treasure, that is true and it cuts both ways. I’d rather watch a cute girl who projects energy and joy on screen than a truly gorgeous creature who is visibly counting dollars and seconds.

Rog, having read some of your reviews featuring Naomi, I see you aren’t a real big fan. She might just win best new startlet, but she’s not even in your top 20!! WTF?
Rog Replies:
I wouldn’t say that I have been particularly harsh to Naomi and I don’t dislike her. If fact she made the HM list and that’s pretty good. Why not higher? I don’t know. She’s got a great ass, maybe the best ass in the business right now, but beyond that? The rest of her body is nice, but not spectacular. Her face is pretty, but again, nothing that puts her above the other girls on the most. Finally it is her scenes. She’s fine, but I don’t think she matches up head to head with the other women on the list. She’s an average performer with a great ass. I just don’t see how I could put her above anyone in the top 20. If it were a Best Asses of 2006 list then hell yeah, she would be right up there near the top.
