Metro Interactive Acquires Video Team

Christian Mann appointed Executive VP

Chatsworth, CA.- Metro Interactive announced today that it has acquired Video Team’s adult movie library, including the rights to all future Video Team releases, along with its Afro-Centric Productions and Ethnicity Film lines.

The operations of the two companies will be conducted at Metro’s new automated warehouse in Chatsworth, CA. Metro’s owner, Kenneth Guarino, says that “the consolidation of the two companies will allow us the benefit of expanding our current lines, while improving customer service, and increasing distribution worldwide.”

The transaction will be effective on March 13, 2006. Video Team’s Christian Mann will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Metro, and shall be in charge of Sales, Marketing and Creative Direction for both entities.

“The synergy of a combined Metro and Video Team promises to benefit both sides,” Mann said. “Our product lines are diverse enough to supplement rather than compete with each other. The point is to increase the bottom line all around.”

Also joining Metro Interactive will be longtime Video Team Production staff Kimberly Wynn, Maricela Preciado, Accountant Amy Willens, and Sales Associate Sarah Sasner.

Mann plans to focus on the strengths of the companies, saying that “Metro has an amazing library featuring stellar high-end movies, while Video Team’s prominence in the ethnic market and its success with ancillary revenue streams makes the acquisition a logical move. We’re poised to achieve great things during this exciting but challenging time in our industry.”

All Video Team contracts and deals remain in effect. All phone numbers and emails will be forwarded to Metro Interactive’s facility in Chatsworth, CA.
