Joone’s “Pirates” received cover placement in the February 2006 edition of Home Cinema Choice magazine. The article, “Skin Trade” by Jim Hill defines 2006 as ‘The Year of High-Def” and goes on to explain how the adult industry is putting the blue into Blu-Ray in an exclusive interview with “Pirates” director, Joone. In their review, Home Cinema Choice calls “Pirates” a ’34D Treasure Chest’ and writes, “Digital Playground’s region-free three-disc Pirates: Collector’s Edition has so many bells and whistles that it puts the majority of mainstream Special Edition DVD releases to shame.” Home Cinema Choice is the UK’s ultimate home entertainment magazine.
