Mercenary Makes Strong Showing at AEE; Adds New AVN Awards to Mantle
CANOGA PARK, Calif. ? Showcasing its roster of performer/directors and its new line from the company’s new division, Black Viking, Mercenary Pictures topped its AVN Adult Entertainment Expo appearance with multiple AVN Award wins.
Lexington Steele, owner of Mercenary Pictures, Domina X, who performed as Vanessa Blue, award-winning performer Mario Rossi and former performer and current Mercenary director Tina Tyler signed autographs and posed for pictures with thousands of fans. Crowds that congregated for Steele, Domina, Rossi and Tyler, all known for their high quality scenes as performers and excellently composed scenes as directors, easily eclipsed the turnout for last year.
“Our fan showing was amazing, and we’d like to thank them for their continued support of Mercenary and the titles we produce,” Steele said. “More and more consumers know that Mercenary means quality and the most bang you can get for your gonzo buck and we’ve become a brand name for top of the line all-sex titles with something for everyone.”
Steele added that Mercenary’s head of sales, industry veteran Hank Weinstein, met with what seemed like a never ending line of new buyers, looking to add the company’s titles to their inventories. The Black Viking lines, including You’d Never Know, a tranny line directed by noted Brazilian director Don Picone, Black Viking, an interracial gay series directed by Steele, Handyman, a solo male jack off series directed by Tina Tyler for the female market, and Blowhards, an all-male blowjob series also directed by Tyler, also received strong interest.
“We had a great show,” Steele said. “Mercenary’s name is definitely on the top of everyone’s list, and our titles from Black Viking are poised to dominate in the same way our other titles have risen to the top of the all-sex category.”
Mercenary also racked up two AVN Award wins for Lex Steele XXX 5 (Best Interracial Release) and Black Reign (Best Ethnic-Themed Series).
