Lurid Entertainment Garners 3 AVN Nominations

(Burbank, CA) ” Lurid Entertainment, a Hi-Def Adult Entertainment Start-up, proudly announces their three AVN Award nominations including “Best New Company,” “Best Sex Comedy,” and “Best High Definition Production.”

Lurid Entertainment, one of the few adult companies that shoots, edits, and delivers High Definition content will unveil its technology laden High Definition DVD’s at the 2006 Adult Entertainment Expo in January. All Lurid releases are 2-disc sets, which include a traditional DVD and a Hi-Def DVD. “We are honored to receive three nominations, including Best New Company, having been in business such a short period of time,” states Lurid Entertainment’s COO Guyno Phamstein.

Lurid Entertainment received a second nomination for Best High Definition Production, for Bridgette Kerkove’s High Definition directorial debut DVD titled Vamp.

Lurid’s premier feature, The Doctor Is In You, nominated for Best Sex Comedy, features Randy Spears and an ensemble of beauties including Ariana Jollee, Taylor Rain, Nicki Hunter, and the Cali Twins. “I want to thank Lurid Entertainment for the opportunity to shoot ‘The Doctor Is In You’ in Hi-Def”, said the film’s writer and director Suitcase Jones. “The efforts of the cast and crew really came through. I am honored that AVN thought it deserved a ‘Best Sex Comedy’ nomination.”
