Sports and politics apparently do mix, at least in Washington. The effort to buy up major league baseball’s orphaned franchise has taken on a decidedly political slant. First it was a former Senator stepping up to the plate, then Colin Powell made his pitch and now George Soros is taking his turn.
Bad news for the folks in Washington and for baseball fans in general….
Convicted criminal and poster-boy for the terminal sore-loser club George Soros has entered the bidding for the Washington Nationals.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse for the Ex-Expos (Currently the Nationals) they now have to deal with this asshat. Doesn’t MLB have some kind of rule against convicted criminals owning a team?
