JASON MOVES INTO RYAN’S OLD STOMPING GROUNDS FOR TV GUIDE CHANNEL

Jason Sechrest will appear on multiple episodes of The TV Guide Channel’s “Open Call,” shooting in the very studio where the now defunct “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” was filmed daily.

(WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) — You may have heard of the recent legal battles between hosts JASON SECHREST and RYAN SEACREST, but the story doesn’t end here. SECHREST is now moving into SEACREST’s old stomping grounds for television!

While FOX may have RYAN, The TV Guide Channel is capitalizing on the recent notoriety of the other SECHREST, casting him in multiple episodes of their new series “Open Call,” the first of which is set to air Monday, May 2nd. “Because of the nature of the show, I’m not at liberty to divulge too many details about it,” says SECHREST, “but I can tell you that it is a reality series about the casting process for reality series! My really big episode is on Monday, May 2nd, but they have asked me to come back for at least one more episode as well and I believe the second one airs on May 30th.”

Last week, People Magazine’s sister publication In Touch Weekly reported that FOX filed a lawsuit against JASON SECHREST for stealing RYAN’s name while hosting a gay adult film parody called “American Porn Star” for Jet Set Productions, but the lawsuit was quickly dropped after discovering that JASON SECHREST was indeed the host’s real name!

Now JASON’s furious with RYAN for inferring that he performed sex in the movie on his KISS-FM radio show. “I didn’t even take my shirt off! I’m not a porn star, I was just hosting the movie!” says JASON SECHREST. “Talk about defamation! Who should be filing lawsuits against who?” A host in his own right, SECHREST has his own award-winning Internet sex talk radio show where he interviews celebrities from adult to mainstream, last year interviewing everyone from JENNA JAMESON to “NYPD Blue” star ESAI MORALES, and has hosted related events at a variety of nightclubs across the country.

SECHREST has now been tapped to appear on upcoming installments of TV Guide’s “Open Call” — the biggest irony of all being that the show is shooting in the very same studio where the now defunct “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” was shot daily!

SECHREST has also been cast to appear on an MTV reality series later this summer and recently previewed a cabaret act he’s putting together at the King King in Hollywood, California.
