MERCENARY WINS TWO AVN AWARDS, MAKES PRESENCE KNOWN AT AEE
 
LAS VEGAS — Mercenary Pictures walked away with two AVN Awards on Saturday, Jan. 8 in for its excellence in production and for the performance of Lexington Steele, Mercenary’s owner and three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year.
 
Black Reign won for Best Ethinic-Themed Series, and Katsumi and Steele’s scene in Lex Steele XXX 3 won Best Anal Sex Scene. AVN and other adult reviewers gave critical acclaim to the Black Reign Series and Lex Steele XXX 3.
 
“It is without a doubt that I’ve produced the best ethnic series and titles since I shot Women of Color 2, 3 and 4 at Anabolic,” Steele said. “I’m happy my efforts in this genre have finally been acknowledged as the best in black. I’m the only producer that has never held my ethnic productions in any less regard than movies featuring white girls. The consumers appreciate this and my sales with Black Reign attest to this. Kudos to Vanessa Blue, who directed under the moniker Domina X and her efforts this year have been nothing less than historic.”  
 
Steele added his award-winning performance in with Katsumi was not a surprise, and added, “I’ve worked with Katsumi a few times in my productions, and I’ve witnessed her win performance awards all around the world this year. She truly is the best female performer on the globe at the moment.”
 
Steele added the turnout for Mercenary during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo was excellent.
 
“We’ve opened new channels that will bring Mercenary’s product to more
fans and more potential customers of our product,” Steele said. “I was
also happy that we could meet our fans and hear their feedback with
regards to our product. Our fans can rest assured that we will always
look to improve our product and I’m confident that with Mercenary
Europe and Mandy Bright’s additions to our list of productions, we’ll
continue give our fans what they want and raise the level of quality in
adult.”
