I hope you will excuse me if I wax a little sentimental over this movie. You see my friends; this is the movie that started it all for me. Some twenty years ago (Has it really been that long?) WPINK-TV was the first X-rated movie I watched from start to finish. (It took more than one try to get that far, but let’s not get into that.) It also led to my first porn crush on one Miss Christy Canyon. That first crush has never really left and WPINK-TV has always been one of my favorite adult movies. It has historic significance thanks to the presence of Holmes, Jeremy and Reems in the same flick, but that isn’t why I like it so much. It’s the fact that it’s a funny little movie with some great Christy coverage. Ali Moore also turned in a great scene in the original, but that one seems to have been cut out. She is also not on the cover for this DVD. I suppose I could go on, but if I keep thinking about it I might realize that many of today’s starlets weren’t even alive when this movie was made. I’m not ready to feel that old today. Let’s tune in to see what Christy and Ron have in store for us today.

The movie begins with Christy doing a rather comical striptease. She seems as interested in being sexy as the average housewife after a day with the kids, laundry and dishes. Ron Jeremy is the one driving the little show, but even he can’t keep filming when she finally orders her between her thighs. The camera moves in really close as he licks her swollen clit. They think that WPINK needs to be shut down and send in Harry Reems to clean things up.

This is where the Ali Moore scene with Ron Jeremy should be. Instead we get Ron with Tiffany Storm. Ron rolls onto the couch and gets her pussy wet with his tongue. The DVD extras are great once again. We get a lengthy three-way interview with Bill Margold talking to Ron and Christy. They address many issues, including the Ali Moore stuff. The recurring theme is Ron’s place on the porn legends deck of cards. It’s actually interesting to listen to him bitch a little bit. Laurie Holmes also makes an appearance. The whole thing runs nearly forty-five minutes and isn’t very tightly edited. Personally I like that better because it’s more like a conversation than an interview. We also get a short piece from Christy at the 2005 Adult Expo. As a final bonus we get a four scene extra with Nina DePonce fucking three guys and a girl. Anyone who loved this girl as much as I did will like the action here.

So there you have it folks. The movie that started it all. Without WPINK-TV and Christy Canyon’s chest melons I might never have become obsessed with porn and would not have started my own web site to tell others about smut. I’m not sure if we should credit Paradise and Christy or blame them, but either way it’s on them. It is hard for movies from the 80’s to hold up sexually. We have just learned to shoot, edit and pace scenes better. Still, this is a classic and the DVD is very well done. Christy looks amazing. Her tease is hot, her sex is hot and that solo scene will stay burned in my head until the day I day. I did miss the great Ali scene with Ron and I can’t quite figure out why they left her in the movie for some of the action. Even without Ali, this is a movie I’ve been waiting for on DVD for years. Paradise Visuals has done a great job with the transfer and the bonus interviews are interesting. Anyone who is a fan of classic porn, comedy or Christy Canyon should pick up a copy of this DVD right away. With any luck, we will be talking about it again in a year when it wins the award for Best Classic Release on DVD. Now that WPINK has come to DVD, I just need to find a way to convince Christy to make my other decades-old fantasy come true.
