Mercenary Pictures’ Lexington Steele to Appear on Expo Panel
CANOGA PARK, Calif. Lexington Steele, owner of Mercenary Pictures, three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year and director of worldwide acclaim, will take part in a seminar panel during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.
Steele will participate in “Something for Everyone ? Genres and Niches”, on Friday Jan. 6, 2006, 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. The retailer-centered discussion will focus on providing genres in adult entertainment that will appeal to end consumers.
“The gonzo sector of the adult industry has grown from being in the shadow of plot-driven features a little over 10 years ago, to dominating the landscape of XXX,” Steele said. “As a product of these changes, my career in adult has followed a similar course of being in a few features but performing in and directing in many more all-sex titles.
“I will also say that what were once genres sidelined by adult’s mainstream, like ethnic and interracial titles, have grown into some of the best-selling categories that command the lion’s share of sales in this industry. Mercenary has always taken particular interest in the interracial and ethnic markets and our rising fortunes demonstrate to retailers that it’s not enough to carry any kind of adult, but to carry a company that takes time and care in its productions.”
Steele will also sign, with his fellow Mercenary director/performers Domina X (who performs under the name Vanessa Blue), Mandy Bright and Mario Rossi, and director and former performer Tina Tyler at the company’s booth, number 9063.
Mercenary is also nominated for AVN’s Best Interracial Release (Lex Steele XXX 5), Best Foreign All-Sex Release (Phetish Phantasy), Best Ethnic-Themed Video, Black (Black Reign 6), Best Ethnic Themed-Series (Black Reign), Best POV Release (Pole Position 3: Lex POV), Best All-Girl Feature (Hell’s Angels), Best Director, Foreign Release (Mandy Bright for Hell’s Angels), Best Anal Sex Scene, Video (Roxanne Hall and Lexington Steele in Lex Steele XXX 5) and Best DVD Menus (Hell’s Angels).
Steele is also nominated for a fourth AVN Male Performer of the Year award.
