Katsumi's Movies
INTERVIEW: KATSUMI
We are here at the Adult Expo with Katsumi who looks lovely today.
Thank you.
How long have you been in the business?
About three years, but I am new here to the States. I began in France and last year began here.
How old are you?
Twenty-Four
Where are you from?
I am from France, a small town near Switzerland.
You appear to have some Asian blood in you.
Yes, I am half Vietnamese and half French.
How did you end up with a Japanese name?
I love Japanese comics and took my name from a favorite character.
What was the first movie you made in America?
It was for Red Light, but I don't remember the name of the movie. I did the scene with Erik Everhard and Lexington Steele. It was a good scene, I was lucky.
How many movies have you made?
Around thirty.
Had you ever worked with anyone as big as Lexington?
No. I have worked with Mandingo since then and with Jack.
You have worked with some big guys.
Yes, but I like that. They were all very nice. Sometimes you have a lot more pain with a smaller penis.
How tall are you?
I don't know the number in English, but I am 1 meter, 68 cm.
You have natural breasts yes?
Yes of course. I would like bigger, but everyone here tells me not to get them.
Who are your favorite guys to work with?
It is very difficult because all of the men are so different. Each time I fall in love with the guy so I have lots of favorites. I like Mark Davis, Lexington, Lee Stone and so many others.
You just like working with everyone.
I don't like working with stupid guys.
Do you like working with girls?
I like girls, but I am still very shy with girls. I have worked with Jezel for Red Light, but I prefer to work with guys and I don't like to share.
What about in your private life?
I like girls, but I don't really have time for a private life.
How did you come to America?
I had a friend in France and she introduced me to Mark Speigler and her got me work here. I didn't realize it was so huge over here.
Is the business bigger here?
Oh yes.
Are the movies better here?
There are very good movies made in Europe. Here you have more choices and I really like the gonzo here. In Europe it is not good for a girl to do gonzo.
Do you like acting in features?
Yes. For me it is a game. Sometimes it is difficult for me to do it in English.
What are some of your best movies?
I haven't seen any of my movies here so you will have to ask someone.
Have you done a lot of features here?
The first time I came I just did gonzo, but this time I have worked for Wicked Pictures, Vivid and Hustler.
And your English is getting better as you act more?
Yes. I am trying. To be honest, America is not the best English. I have learned some very bad words. Here it is very different from Europe. In Europe we don't speak during sex, but here they want me to say "oh yes, give me more."
How would you say that in French?
We don't speak, we do. I'm sorry I can't speak with something in my mouth.
What were you like growing up?
I was very shy. I am still shy, but I hide it well.
Not on camera, I have seen you.
When there is a camera, I change. I become Katsumi. I am here to give pleasure. I am different when I am not working.
How did you go from a shy girl to a porn star?
I wanted to change because it was difficult for me to be outgoing. I decided to dance in clubs. I did striptease, then photos and then porno.
Were you nervous the first time you did a movie?
Yes, but I like to be nervous, it is exciting.
Do you still get nervous?
Sometimes yes. When I come to America I know that I will be nervous for my first scene because I have not had sex in a month.
You don't have any sex off camera?
I don't have a boyfriend, so I don't have sex. I prefer to wait.
What a waste.
No, I masturbate.
Is there anyone you haven't worked with but want to?
For me sex is like food. I want to taste everything so I want to work with everyone. It will take time, but I will get to everyone.
Do you still live in France?
Yes I do.
Do you like Los Angeles?
Yes. It is great to work there, but I prefer to live in France. When I am in Los Angeles, there is no good wine, cheese or bread.
So American don't speak English well and California isn't a good place to live?
(She laughs) Maybe I have to find an American husband to help me get used to it.
Is there anything you would like to add?
I am happy to be nominated for the AVN show and I hope that the American fans will see my work and enjoy it.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
