Axel Braun’s big 2021 parody certainly hit all the right notes with fans and critics. This movie is nominated for pretty much all of the awards for the 2022 AVN awards including Best Actress (Lacy Lennon) Best Actor (Seth Gamble), Best Tag-Team Sex Scene and Best Featurette among many others.
If you’re a comic book fan or you’ve picked up a comic book in the last 20 years, you’ve more than likely experienced comic book legend George Pérez’s work. He has penned and illustrated countless titles for Marvel and DC, including The Avengers and Teen Titans. He made Wonder Woman a hit, revived a character that had been put on the shelf and gave her girl power, and changed the course of female comic book characters and how women are thought of in the world.
I will be honest. I have never heard of Hawkman or Hawkgirl. I have no idea if they are from a real comic book or not. I would assume that they are, but who knows? The story is a pretty good one. It’s a nice little origin tale that could set things up for later volumes. The leads, Ryan Driller and Allie Haze are both very well cast.
In the latest Axel Braun parody, he takes on Marvel’s X-Men franchise. Like a lot of the other Vivid superhero movies, the plot is thin, but the costumes are great. There is a bit of a plot here. There is a battle between the good and bad mutants for Rouge played nicely by Allie Haze. She only has one sex scene and that may be the biggest disappointment.

The latest comic book icon to get the Axel Braun porn treatment is Wolverine. Tommy Gunn plays the indestructible, sideburn sporting, steel clawed bad ass. He does a pretty good job and looks the part. As has become customary for Braun’s work, the costumes, look and feel of the movie works quite well. There is plenty of comic book fantasy appeal even if you are only a moderate fan of X-Men.
