Nicole Sheridan INTERVIEW: NICOLE SHERIDAN

Nicole's Movies

It's the first day of adult expo 2007 and I am here with…

Nicole Sheridan.

Thank you for sitting down with me in this very noisy Smash Pictures booth. Those of you listening will know that we are in fact, here.

I feel like we're in a DJ booth.

I wish I have a video camera with me because I have the best view. I'm going to try to concentrate.

Cleavage!

Since we're in the Smash booth let's talk about some of the projects you have done for them.

I have actually only done one movie for them. It was called "Cheating Housewives 3." It ended up being one of their best sellers for the year and that is why I am here having only done one movie for them.

It was a very good movie.

Apparently so. I haven't seen it yet.

It was good, trust me. We did an interview a while back.

A long time ago.

Since we covered your history in that one, let's focus on what you're doing now.

I'm working more behind the camera now. I'm really selective with what I do and maybe only do a movie every other month. Behind the camera, I am directing and shooting for Penthouse. My first movie for them comes out in March called "Slippery When Wet." I am also shooting production stills and box covers for them about ten days a month. That is pretty much my main focus right now, my photography.

Are you going to transfer completely behind the camera or do you still like performing?

I'm really only performing in movies that I'm already committed to. I have a project in April that I have been committed to for over a year. If it is for a friend or a project I really believe in, fine. If someone just calls to book me, I'm probably going to say no.

How long have you been in the business?

Seven years.

That's quite a career.

Nicole Sheridan Yes (She laughs)

Maybe it's time to focus on your photography. Is that something you have always been interested in?

I have always been interested in photography. As a kid I had my point and shoot camera. I have always known that I had an eye for it, but didn't know the technical aspects of it. Voodoo was a photographer before he came to the States. He was shooting weddings and family portraits and stuff in Canada. His degree is in photography so when I expressed and interest in it, he said "OK if you want to learn I'll teach you everything I learned in four years in six months." And he did. It wasn't always good. The student/teacher relationship doesn't always work for friends or husband and wife. For about six months I wanted to kill him half the time. He really did a good job in giving me a firm solid background. I've been shooting for three years. Not many people know that. I shot for Wicked, Sin City, Platinum Blue, Gothic, Penthouse and a ton of companies.

That is great. Do you think that having been in front of the camera helps you when you're shooting?

I absolutely think so. One of my biggest pet peeves as a model is when you look at a photograph later and wonder "Why didn't the photographer tell me to cover up that wrinkle?" Or it would have been a perfect picture if that strand of hair wasn't in my eye. You wonder why they don't notice these things before they take the shot. I don't take the shot unless it's a perfect shot. That comes from being a model. The girls are always telling me "I have this or I have that." It's not like I'm going to shoot them and make them look fat. Whatever your assets, I'm going to go with that and whatever your flaws we'll work around them. Most girls really appreciate that. Some of them have even told me that I'm their favorite photographer.

Do you think that the girls are more comfortable with you because you're a woman?

I think that is part of it. I think it helps that I have been in the same position they are in. And I pay attention to detail. I'm a good photographer. I've gotten to a point after three years where I look at other people's stuff and there are few people who can compete with what I'm shooting right now.

You mentioned Voodoo. For those who don't know, he is your…

Husband.

For how long?

Six years.

I believe you had just gotten married when we did the last interview.

That's possible. We got married in October of 2000.

That is a century in porn terms. Is he cutting back his performance since you are cutting your back?

I asked him what he was going to do when I don't want to work any more. For five years all of our scenes have involved each other with the exception of one movie I did for Wicked. He told me that he didn't really care too much about performing. He has gotten into shooting and editing. He is an amazing editor. He does all of the BTS editing for Penthouse. Those are stand-alone projects that may end up on cable. He edits for Platinum Blue and Gothic so he doesn't really care one way or another. Stormy overheard a conversation and she said "When Nicole retires, will you work with me? Can I be your surrogate?" I would be fine with him working with Stormy. We talked about it later and said that maybe he would be selective and only work with people I want to work with for companies I want to work for. For us it was never about not having sex with other people. It was about time spent apart if we worked with other people. Now we are to the point where if he wants to do two or three scenes a month, I will go hang out with him so he isn't bored on set for twelve hours. Right now his goal is to do maybe three scenes a month, but the rest of the time focus on the other things.

Would you be able to direct him in a scene?

I have, for Penthouse.

Is that weird at all?

No, it was totally cool. I actually love it because he knows what I want. I don't have to worry about some guy. With girls you can say "tuck your tummy in" or whatever. With guys, they get super offended. If you have to say "you have to open up more for doggy" you're basically saying "Because you're dicks not long enough to see it." You have to be more gentle with guys. With Voodoo and I, I can say one little thing and he knows what to do. He makes my job a lot easier.

You guys have this great relationship.

Yea, totally. Nicole Sheridan

You did a movie for Platinum this year where you were skydiving.

Airgazmik.

Let's talk a little about that.

OK, Voodoo and I are skydiving instructors. We teach the first class for people who want to jump by themselves and not do a tandem. We've been doing it for about two years and have around 365 jumps. We were talking to Skye Blue who owns Platinum Blue and told her that she had to come out and at least do a tandem. She put us off for a bout six months before she finally caved. She finally did and fell in love with it. As time went by she started asking us questions about when we were going again. I could tell that she was getting an itch to go again. After her second jump she was sitting on the ground and said "It would be really great to do a movie here." Originally it was going to be a fetish movie for her Gothic line. We were going to do the thing about the sex ring and drop the girls in on tandems. Since it was fetish movie with no sex, the owner was fine with it. When Skye realized how much money it was going to end up costing because those jumps were probably five hundred per girl just to jump plus a couple thousand to rent the plane. It started to add up and she really couldn't do it as a fetish movie. We weren't sure they were going to be cool with us shooting sex there, but we tried to see what kind of pull we had. They agreed as long as we kept it on the down low and do it bandit style. We shot it in two days and not only did Voodoo and I have a scene, but I also shot all of the production stills except the ones of me and Voodoo shot those. For our sex stills, Voodoo set up the camera and took them of us. He was packing parachutes and shooting all of the BTW. We slept about two hours that whole time.

It was a good movie, lots of fun and good action. Did you guys do more than one jump?

There were two jumps filmed for Voodoo and I, one at the beginning and one at the end. With the other girls, we planned to shoot it twice. The first jump went so well and everything was pre-paid so Skye told anyone on the crew who wanted to, to try a tandem jump. The cameraman did a tandem, Jenner and Seth Dickens also did one. I think it's in the BTS.

They set things up for a part two, will we see one soon?

I don't know. This was one of those things that we really got blood out of a stone. I think that in order for there to be a part two and for Voodoo and I to be involved, there will have to be more of a budget. The movie is very good, but I think that with a little bit more, we could have made it even better.

Other than the skydiving, it is a very stripped down movie.

Yeah.

The story leaves us wide open and if there is no sequel then we are all left hanging.

That's right.

Do you have a web site?

I have www.NicoleSheridan.com I've had that for a while.

What else should we look for?

I'm hoping this year to put up a site of stuff I have actually shot. I thought about calling it Nicole's Girls, but I didn't want it to get confused with Nicki's Girls which is an escort service. What I would like to do is more magazine work. I would like to focus on that.

And we are going to see you skydiving in your new Rog Rules clothes?

Yes you will.

That will be hot.

Nicole Sheridan It might have to wait a few months so that I don't freeze my nipples off.

We've waited six years, I think we can wait a few more months. Everyone visit www.NicoleSheridan.com and check her out.

Thank you. Nicole's Movies
