When I first read the headline on this story and read the word “controversy” I thought to myself “huh, what controversy”. After all, who would blame a girl for not cheering for a guy she claims assaulted her?
Counting Crows Big Yellow Taxi: Place-Las Vegas. A few years back when I was at the AEE and staying at the Casino Royale, they had this song in heavy rotation. This was back when they still had quarter roulette so I spent every waking, off floor moment at a table and must have heard this song 100 times in four days.
Oh man, you can’t make this shit up. Let’s get a few things on the table first. I am a HUGE First Amendment proponent and I’m about as pro-porn as anyone. Still, this fucking story makes me want to hit myself in the face with a hammer.

American Girl: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. There is just something about this song that is perfect. From the breezy riff to the lyrics that are just a bit too heartbreaking for the mood. (“God it’s so painful for something to be so close, but still so far out of reach.”) Maybe the song just reminds me of what life was like before real problems crept in and made everything a struggle. Hell it still makes me happy even after being used as a harbinger of doom in “Silence of the Lambs.”
Black Eyed Peas: My Humps. I could have gone with almost any BEP song, but this one is so fucking bad that I actually compared it to Eon McKai’s Neu Wave Hookers. Talk about excruciating.

Don’t You Forget About Me Simple Minds: Yeah laugh all you want. I’m stuck in the 80’s and this isn’t exactly a classic, but it still takes me back to a time that makes me smile.
By now, you have surely all heard that Den, the man behind the great work over on CAVR.com has retired. I waited a while to write this because I really wanted to let the readers have their say. Den has reviewed so many movies (Close to 30K, come on.) and has been read by so many loyal porn fans that I wanted to make sure he got all the love possible from the people who have enjoyed his work over the years before I stepped in with my two cents.
There probably isn’t a person reading this who doesn’t already know the whole Weiner’s wiener story inside and out. There probably isn’t a single “wiener” joke that you haven’t heard at least a dozen times. For those reasons alone, I have steered clear of any comments or commentary on the Congressman’s (then alleged) photos, indiscretions and the obvious penis jokes.
