BB11 Update: Can the Veto Save Ronnie

BB 11 Update: Ronnie’s Last Stand

“You’re Really Smart.”

Tonight was really all about the veto competition and the scrambling going on in the house. The jack alliance doesn’t know what to do with itself since Russell seems intent on not being controlled. I can’t say that I have totally forgotten what a meathead bully he is, but compared to Jessie, his lap dog Natalie, cackling Chima and the inexplicably cocky Ronnie, Russ is a freaking hero.

Ronnie starts the show by groveling to Russell. He’s such a weasel, but Russ doesn’t seem to be buying a word of this. It looks like “Dorkapotimus” is going to have to find someone else to save his sorry ass. Luckily for him, he’s got the entire evil alliance going to bat for him.

Chima is next and she campaigns for Ronnie along with Jessie and Natalie. He seems unaffected and a little bit annoyed by how hard they are fighting to keep him in the game even after he made his feelings very clear. Natalie reminds me of a ventriloquist’s dummy. Jessie is never without her (even when he goes to the bathroom) and she just parrots what he says. I thought this girl was supposed to be a bad ass martial arts champion. She comes off as a powerless twit with no personality. It’s like she would suck her way to the finals like Lydia, but she has no sexuality at all.

Later Jessie whispers to Natalie. “I think Ronnie is a stand up guy.” Dude, thinking is not your strong suit. Stop trying, it hurts to watch you do that.

Michele is the floater everyone wants this week. First Natalie and then Jessie hit her up. Their plan is to get Michele to vote out Lydia and mess up Russell’s plan no matter what happens. She seems willing to listen, but I would imagine the is too smart to be used by them when she clearly has the upper hand.

The veto competition was a space and quantity thing with a bit of poker thrown in. During the pre-game viewing session Jessie got one look at the gladiator guy and got all bitchy. He complained that the guy was all oiled up and that it was “not fair.” What? Way to focus on the task at hand moron. I have honestly never seen anyone quite so clueless and narcissistic as this ass clown.

It’s one of those competitions where you can fold every round and not be knocked out so people play it safe. Jessie scores and early point as Lydia and Kevin go home. Ronnie just keeps folding in hopes that he might get lucky later in the game. Picking on that trend, Michele wins two uncontested points in a row and the boys all sit it out. She is doing well and playing smart. Jessie finally takes her on and when she beat him, Michele gives herself all the power she can possibly have. Holding the POV and as a clear swing vote she is the key. How will she vote?

Ronnie approaches her and starts begging for his life. She listens politely, but as usual he gets desperate and ends up screwing things up. He gives her the condescending “you’re too smart” act as he spells out why she is in trouble if she doesn’t save him. It’s a weak threat, but a threat nonetheless. More importantly he tells her that she can be “part of the five” with him. Jessie, Natalie, Ronnie Chima and Michele? I wonder how long it will take Russell to hear about this. I think Ronnie just sealed his fate by being a condescending prick and threatening Michele. I sure hope so.

Chima and Russell are going at it. She can’t handle him talking to anyone and just doesn’t seem to care if he knows the plan any more. Poor Natalie has to quiet her down as she rants to Ronnie within earshot. I really enjoy watching her flail away. She’s got no personality at all.

In the end Michele didn’t use the POV and all seems right with the world. Ronnie is set up to go home, unless America hands the special power to Ronnie or Jessie. If they do that I might just have to go on a six-state killing spree. Or at least stop watching. One or the other.
