XBiz Wins for Belladonna & Manuel Ferrara
Best Director and Best Male Performer
Big wins for two of Evil Angel’s biggest stars. Belladonna, (www.EnterBelladonna.com) took the Best Director (Body of Work) award. Manuel (www.ManuelFerraraXXX.com) walked away with another Best Male Performer Award. Interesting choices as usual. I wonder who votes for these things and if many of them also vote for XRCO. (Those noms are coming out this week.)

Belladonna and Manuel Ferrara named Best Director (Body of Work) and Best Male Performer
A month after winning multiple AVN awards, Evil Angel Director/Performer double threats Belladonna and Manuel Ferrara did it again at the 2009 XBIZ Awards.
The XBIZ ceremony took place February 12 at the trendy and spacious Hollywood spot Boulevard 3. Belladonna graciously accepted the Best Director award, which encompassed her directorial vision for all of her 2008 movies including her vignette movie Discovering Alexis Texas which was also up for the Best Gonzo Movie award. The movie stars Alexis, each scene taking place in a different era, from the 70s through modern day. Belladonna also performs in a scene with Alexis, giving college girl Alexis pointers on blowjobs.
Evil Angel owner John Stagliano praises, “Belladonna has constantly surprised me at how good she is at directing her scenes. She can capture reality, and sexuality as well as I have ever seen.”
Manuel Ferrara received the “Male Performer of the Year” trophy, an honor he has won the award at multiple award shows including AVN, XRCO and NINFA.Belladonna was also nominated in the Performer of the Year category, while Manuel and Jonni Darkko were both nominated for Director of the Year. Their distribution company Evil Angel was up for Studio of the Year, which it won in 2008.
