Denny’s, Nikita, the Incredible Teagan & I Meet Otto Bauer

With the first day and night out of the way, I was feeling a bit more like my old self when I woke up on Thursday morning. There is something about Vegas these days. It takes me a while to get used to everything that’s going on. I made my usual trip over to Denny’s where I had a quick breakfast with Jeff. (Of IAFD.com fame for those who don’t know.) We had our usual interesting conversation. I wonder sometimes how Jeff manages to stay above the drama and out of the mess. I admire him for that and for many other things. As we are finishing up our breakfast, Don Houston (Of XCritic.com) comes over to the table. He introduces me to another writer from that site, Ravyn. We have spoken a time or two on line, mostly through MySpace and I know she reads my blog. (See, feedback is good people.) Unfortunately we didn’t have a lot of time to talk. I’d love to sit down and talk with her at some point about our sites and the industry as a whole. I think to myself as she is leaving that she’s got to be lying on her MySpace page, but can’t figure out why someone would add years to their age rather than take them off.

I hit the floor with no real plans on Thursday. I knew Savana was supposed to join me for some interviews and I had some trophies to pass out, but I was just flying by the seat of my pants. As luck would have it, Monstar found me and handed me another sweet interview. Nikita Denise has been away from the business for a few years, but is ready for a major come back. We found a nice quiet spot along the way and did our thing. Nikita has a film crew following her around for some sort of reality TV show. I suppose I could end up on there like I did last year with Sunny Lane. Nikita looks amazing and we should see some new movies with her very soon.

I left Nikita and headed over to the Evil Angel booth where I ran into Kevin Moore. As seems to be the case every year, he had come down with the Vegas flu. We managed to get a good interview in anyway. I’ve known Kevin for years and have watched him grow into quite a director. He is one of those guys who got into the business as someone who just loves good porn. He learned from some of the best shooters ever and unlike so many, has managed to keep his ego in check long enough to actually absorb much of these masters have to offer. It is always a pleasure to talk to Kevin in part because he’s still likely to stop in the middle of an answer to point out an exceptionally beautiful woman. You have to love a guy who can stay a pervert after all these years.

Over on the other side of the Evil Angel, Gianna was just about to start signing. I used that brief window of down time to introduce myself. We have never actually met and it took some reminders, but at least she knows who I am. (I have some great shots of her a T shirt from a Robby D shoot, thanks.) I also let her know that she had won the RogReviews.com Critic’s Choice Award as Female Performer of the Year. She was quite pleased with the award and gave me a big hug which just helps to remind me that I really am in the right business. We set up an interview for the next day when she didn’t have a line of fans waiting for her autograph.

I was waiting for Savana to show up so she could finally interview her top porn crush, Aurora Snow. Unfortunately she lost her show pass on the shuttle bus back to her condo. That presented quite a problem because they simply don’t pass out replacements. We had to scramble a bit to get her a new badge. Following that old adage that when it rains it pours, I ran into two other concerns while I was trying to deal with the pass issue. My Southern Belle Alicia was also trying to get in and I was trying to help her out with pass. At the same time, I got a call from a Canadian TV crew wanting to do an interview. We’re working on a segment on the industry and I wasn’t about to miss the chance to do an interview. So I was going a little trying to handle badge issues while standing there in a crowded hallway trying not to sound like a complete idiot during the interview. (Yes, I’m sure I failed miserably on that last one.) When I finished the interview I missed Alicia was able to secure a new badge for Savana. (Thanks to the one and only Porn Valley Princess) We finally hit the floor with Aurora Snow in our sights.

Ever since I started talking to Savana about porn, we have bonded over one very simple thing, our mutual love and lust for Aurora Snow. Since Savana did so well with Jesse the day before I decided that it was time to let her do Aurora, figuratively speaking. Since I’ve interviewed Aurora several times and decided to just cover the basics before turning the microphone over to my lovely young assistant. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Savana sitting there drooling. I allowed myself to imagine that she was looking at both Aurora and myself, but I think we all know the truth. Aurora and I went over the basics, her web master troubles, what it is like to be worshipped by hot co-eds and of course, our super secret POV scene. We’re still waiting for the taped proof that is supposed to be out there, but we left it with the simple truth. She and I have not had sex….yet. (That’s right, I said yet and so did she.)

I sat back and watched as Aurora gently guided Savana into her world. This wasn’t exactly the one on one meeting I had imagined between these two, but it was pretty fun to watch. Any rust Savana has during her interview with Jesse was gone as she masterfully maneuvered through an interview while keeping her tongue mostly in her mouth. Savana’s interview techniques were not lost on Anabolic’s Chris Alexander. When Aurora got up to return to her autograph line, Chris stepped right in. I thought maybe he wanted to do an interview, but instead he wanted to talk with Savana. It was clear that a mutual admiration society meeting was about to take place and I was on the outside looking in. As luck would have it though, I had an appointment to interview Teagan. So I left the Anabolic booth with Chris and Savana discussing her possible career as a professional dream girl so that I could interview a young woman who was already a walking talking wet dream.

Since Teagan wasn’t signing in a booth, we made plans to meet at the front of the hall. It wasn’t easy even getting close to her because the rabid fans had her surrounded and were snapping photos from every angle. I caught her eye and just stood back to watch how she handled the crowd. It has been a wild ride for Teagan of late. She is no longer under contract with Digital Playground and is out promoting her web site (www.TeaganRaw.com) She had her camera crew there capturing everything as I interviewed her for the first time in a few years. Considering all of the chaos around here, Teagan did an amazing job. She’s got a lot on her plate right now, but gave a solid interview and looked so good it almost hurt to be that close to her without reaching out and grabbing a handful of perfection.

When I returned to the Anabolic booth, Chris and Savana had hit it off in more ways than one. Not only was he clearly a little smitten (More or less so than she? Only they know for sure) but he also insisted that I hand her the recorder to do a couple more of the girls from his booth. Who am I to argue with Chris or to get in the way of Savana interviewing the likes of Misty Stone and Alexis Love. I happen to believe that one can get too much of a good thing so I bowed out of watching Savana do these two lovely ladies. Instead I wandered around a bit, finally stopping at the JM Productions booth for a conversation with Brandon Iron. Brandon has recently started releasing movies for JM to go along with his web sites www.LoadMyMouth.com and www.CoverMyFace.com. Brandon and I go way back and it is good to see him doing well. He’s a good guy who has grown into a very solid pornographer and still isn’t afraid to speak his mind. (Look for more eye candy galleries from Brandon in 2008.)

When Savana finished up at Anabolic, I was talking with Jim Powers. He is always good for a great conversation and as one would expect, he noticed Savana right away. While the two of them were getting acquainted and he was setting up an interview with Brooke Scott, I noticed that Otto Bauer had started talking to Brandon. As some of you may recall, Otto had a few words for me on Gene’s site last summer. I didn’t comment much at the time because I’ve never met Otto and certainly have nothing against him. Since that I time I had been looking forward to a face to face. I introduced myself and asked Otto for one minute to set the record straight. He granted me that minute, listened as explained to him that some of the things he was told I said did not come from me. Otto listened to me, shook my hand and said “I don’t have a problem with anything you have said. I have a problem with things you didn’t say. So we have no problem.” We talked for a few minutes about the review in question, the way things get fucked up and agreed that from now on, we have no been and that both of us would talk to rather than about one another. I couldn’t have been happier with how things went. That is, until Otto took me over to interview Audrey Hollander. Patching things up and putting an end to a silly internet feud is pretty sweet, but sitting next to this incredibly sexy woman for a few minutes is bound to trump just about anything.
