Rezervior Doggs has been heralded as one of the most genuine porn parodies every made. It is certainly true to the original. Everything from the script to the costuming is dead on. Even the music is about as close to Tarantino-esque as adult can offer. Of course some tweaking had to take place to turn a decidedly male cast into a female one and the bloodbath into a cum fest. This too was handled rather well. The cast is packed with award-winning performers who do their best to pull off this diamond-heist gone wrong flick without cracking up. Before you continue reading, be warned that this review contains spoilers. If you happen to have missed the original movie, you’re going to have some things ruined if you keep reading. The movie stars a number of really good actresses including Kimberly Kane. She has perhaps the most challenging role of the movie and does a pretty good job with her quirky dialog. She also gets a chance to fuck Anthony Rosano (Again?) and may be the only one who gets out of this thing alive. (Hail of gunfire not withstanding) Chanel Preston plays the undercover cop slowly bleeding to death during the entire movie. She also has the hottest sex scene in the movie. Andy San Dimas and Raylene are also quite good and perform good sex scenes. Andy and Tom Byron have good chemistry. Raylene fucks Dale Dabone in a scene that lacks energy and isn’t shot to really show her at her best. The sex scenes are cleverly added to the original, but don’t exactly stand out. The sex scenes are good, but could be better. The dialog is pulled right from the movie, begging the question, when does a parody cease to be a parody? I applaud the effort, but in the end this felt more like a bunch of actors making an homage to a great film than a true porn parody.
Andy San Dimas & Tom Byron
Good news and bad news. Good news is that the makers of this movie has stuck nicely to the original. The bad news is that by not jamming a random sex scene into the plot, we wait through fifteen minutes of dialog before Andy puts her lips around Tom’s cock.
