If I need to discuss why this is perhaps the most anticipated movie of the year, then you have been living under a rock for the past five years. Fashionistas Safado: Berlin is the third chapter in John Stagliano‘s epic trilogy of Fashionistas films. If you will allow me to make a painfully obvious comparison to mainstream films, it is the Godfather trilogy of porn. Epic in scale, the Fashionistas saga is both pure smut and high art. It is brilliantly acted if occasionally driven by elements other than dialog. It is both visionary and pure. Not an easy feat in a medium that generally must cannibalize strokeability for the sake of art or vice versa. Any time you have a movie so highly anticipated you have to fight the urge to expect too much. The original Fashionistas is perhaps the hottest adult film ever made. It took fetish elements and blended them with hard core sex in a way that none of us had ever seen before. (And if I may, have not seen since, at least not so successfully.) It also featured one of the most blistering performance by an adult actress ever. Belladonna was already a star, but her role in Fashionistas put her into a class virtually by herself. It was in a word, perfect. Fashionistas was one of those rare adult movies that deserved every bit of hype and praise it got and then some. It became one of the most awarded adult movies of all time and praised by critics and fans alike. We were all impressed and just like film and movie fans (Tell me I don’t need to explain the difference) of the early 70’s we all wondered what the master could possibly do to top his perfect work. Like Coppola, Stagliano was faced with a masterpiece of an original that was begging for a sequel. With all of that at play, Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge had a nearly impossible bar to reach. It took us deeper into the world of fetish and gave us a movie that was beautiful and dizzying if sometimes sexually uneven. On the one hand we give the single best sex scene of 2006 (How it was passed over for nomination is beyond me) between Rocco, Gianna and Jenna Haze. On the other hand there were long segments of Safado that seemed to meander in and out of the fetish world with little concern for normal porn stroke requirements. It was interesting if not always volcanic and lacked the single sexual performance that Bella provided in the original. Like all good middle chapters, F2 left us hanging with a story that was incomplete and begging to finished. Though Safado was no Godfather II, it does leave us open for Fashionistas Safado: Berlin, part three of porn’s greatest epic. In it, Stagliano follows his characters and stories further into the worlds of fetish, fashion, obsession and madness. He blends sex with fetish, pain with pleasure, latex with candle wax and does what Coppola could not. He delivers a third course that is nearly as satisfying as the first. F3 is intense and relentless, playing on our desire to stroke to hot sex and to explore worlds that go beyond sex on a couch. It is beautiful and perverse at once and if possible, gets better the further one gets from it.
OK, that probably should have been the review, but it’s just the open. If you need a primer or a reminder, one has been provided for you. Stagliano has included a “Fashionistas: The Story So Far” feature that will bring you up to date. I would advise you to watch it, just to bring yourself up to date.
Upon arriving in Berlin Rocco is ushered further into the underground world that is fueling his obsession. Melissa takes him to a club where the pounding beats of the mix with dizzying lights and a whirlwind of sexual action that sets the stage.
The first “official” sex scene takes place when they take Rocco to the home of the Safado web casts. Melissa is to be the star of the show tonight and Nacho is going to push her to her limits. This is a very fetish-heavy scene with a lot of slapping, nipple clamps and a runaway gonzo sensibility to it. Nacho works Melissa over as Rocco is left holding the camera. It has a feel of a web cam show, but the quality doesn’t drop off the table when we switch to Rocco‘s cam. If you like wet blowjobs, then you better be ready. Melissa drools all over the place and lets lose from her bladder at the same time. It is very rough, very edgy and perfect cast. Beyond the rough sex, there is some incredible stroke appeal here. The anal action is great, Melissa responds well at every turn and she ends up licking up every drop of cum from the bench after it drips from her face.
With a scandal brewing, life goes on at Safado. Melissa does her best to break in a new girl at the next show. Annette Schwarz shows up and proves that she can take more than just big cock into her mouth. With Melissa nearly fisting her, the blonde babe can do nothing but drool and take it. It ends up being another exploration in sexuality rather than an a traditional sex scene.
Rocco gets his own lesson after another long club scene. He is died down and smothered by several women. Two of them share it, leading us towards a more traditional sexual encounter. Everything is good until Annette goes to work. Then things go from good to great. This is a great example of how Stagliano can blend the fetish stuff with sex to create something for everyone. If the anal action in the Nacho/Melissa scene was great then this is nothing short of award-caliber stuff. Rocco brings out the best in his co-stars and they even manage to fuck each other silly with some strap ons. He finishes them off with a big shot on Annette’s waiting face. Even if the rest of the movie is lost on you, this four on one is classic Rocco and great stroke-sex.
Disc two open with Katsumi exploring the dungeons below the event. This gives us a chance to explore more fetish sexuality. There are camps, candle wax and other devious delights just waiting for us. As Rocco finds out when he finds her camera, Katsumi also gets involved in some serious action. First she watches Melissa get fingered and nearly fisted anally. The viewing party is cut short though. Where has she been taken? Will Rocco see her again? Intrigue only makes the sexual tension grow.
There is a full blown orgy going on upstairs. All of the fetish action blends in with the sex and we truly get a taste of everything. There is nothing traditional about this scene and that is part of its charm. Instead of slicing up the action and serving it to us in bite sized piece, Stagliano has laid the whole buffet out for us to sample as we go. There are some incredible images here, but if you are looking something that is easy to follow as stroke material you may want to hold off and just enjoy this wild show.
Nun Fetish Alert! The next round of fun features Nacho, Melissa and Katsumi combining their love for latex with a serious religious fetish. They throw in some cross-dressing elements and the whole thing is visually overwhelming. The scene expand to include a number of other girls. I’m not sure if that dilutes the strong fetish appeal or just add to it. With the nuns gone, the other latex clad women flock around Nacho and feast on this throbbing meat. He take them all on at once and then one at a time. Annette comes in and uses her amazing deep throat talents to steal the show. Like the Rocco scene earlier, this one evolves from fetish to pure stroke material and has similar energy.
The nuns are back for the final game. They blindfold Nacho and Rocco using their asses and then administer a milk enema to one of four girls. The trick apparently is figuring out which girl is filled with milk. As the guys choose, they spread cheeks and hope not to get splashed. Rocco wins and ends up with Katsumi and Melissa. He puts Melissa down and tries to choke her with his dick. This is an aggressive scene with a lot of slapping from both his hand and his cock. The girls fight a bit, but save most of their aggression for the sex. Finally getting her chance to break free, Katsumi is frighteningly open. There is a final scene between Bella and Rocco with an assist to Katsumi. This seems to bring everything full circle. As a sex scene it is short, but very hot. Bella unleashes all of her oral skills on Rocco‘s sizeable rod while her body is covered in clips and gently whipped by Katsumi’s riding crop. John Stagliano brings us full circle with Berlin. He once again expands the boundaries of traditional porn in a way that is both artistic and just fucking hot. Melissa and Katsumi have taken over the sexual action, but they are joined by a host of other hotties who provide the great sexual backdrop for this highly anticipated and well worth the wait final chapter.
