I know what you are thinking, since I have so soundly thrashed Max in my last couple of reviews, why am I bothering to do another one. Well, to be honest, there is still a lot in Max’s work I find appealing, just not in the recent stuff. This tape, is a ‘best of’ from his Xplor years, which I think of as a transition period for Max. There is still a lot of good stuff from this time, and I am hoping to find some in this collection. With so many scenes in this collection, they are much shorter than the usual Max fare and that is something I can go for.
